2024 Pump Parts Supply Contract (Fairbanks Morse & Gorman-Rupp)

All potential bidders have access to the electronic information and documents at no charge and will register on this website to fully access the specifications, to receive email notification of changes to the solicitation and to submit bids.

A contract administration fee will be paid by the awarded vendor during the life of the contract, anticipated to be for one (1) year, and the right of renewal for one (1) additional year. Please review the Administrative Fee Disclosure Statement under Attachments. 

The LACPC and the City of Opelousas reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted and to waive irregularities or informalities in any bid received.

The pump parts used by the City of Opelousas are primarily:

1. Fairbanks Morse

and

2. Gorman Rupp

Equal quality and capacity pump parts built to replace the name brand pump parts can be considered.  The Quote Form under Attachments lists all of the part specifications desired.  

The supplier or suppliers who can supply the parts will be identified and orders will be placed throughout the life of the supply contract on an "as needed" basis.  A supplier who can offer the most competitive price and delivery terms and conditions will be ranked first tier for orders, with all others following on a contingency basis.  All orders to be placed will be by purchase or work order.

IF THE PRODUCT COST IS THE SAME FOR ALL AREA DISTRIBUTORS, THEN THE CITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CONTRACT WITH THE AUTHORIZED DEALER DEEMED MOST CONVENIENT OR ADVANTAGEOUS BASED ON SUPPLIES KEPT IN STOCK OR COST/TERMS OF SHIPPING/DELIVERY OR ABILITY TO ASSIST WITH SPECIFICATIONS OR INSTALLATION.

An administrative fee, not to exceed $750 per year, will be accessed to the awarded distributor.  The fee is 1% of all pump part sales (labor, if any, excluded) up to $500.  Administrative fees are payable to the LACPC Joint Commission which administers this supply contract - 6767 Perkins Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70808.  Please refer to the Administrative Fee Disclosure Statement.
